Wensday- 1-13-2010
Today we are finishing up the project. And making some posters. Hopefully. While burning off the extra screws that were coming off the side I burned my fingers. That didn't tickle! But I am okay. :D But my fingers are a little numb.

Video In Class
On Wednesday we watched a video about prototypes. It showed how that they made three prototypes and only one worked. We learned that just because we think it will work doesn't mean that it will and we might have to keep making prototypes until we find one that works and then make our final project.

Week #4!
This week we are still working on finishing our prototype, we are pretty much done with that. Now we are looking online at how much wood, screws, and paint will cost for our project. We plan to be done with our prototype by the end of the week so that we can present it to the class and so that we can get started on making our final project.

Wednesday 3/18/09
Today we are working on making new prototypes because the product that we are making is not the way our customer would like it, the customer would rather have it go a different way, right now it is standing tall and the customer would rather have it going side ways (laying down). We have been talking about how to do prototypes in class and we have been working on the also. We also have been looking for some wood to make our product with. Well thats what we have been doing in class.
week #2
This week we are redoing our prototype because our customer wants it a different way. So we are making new measurements and finding wood online that we want to use.
week2
this week we have to pick out wood for the shelf and we also need to fix our prototype! We have been in and out the last couple of days meeting with our customer to see how long wide and other length that invole our project! We have been moving along with discovering how it would fit our customer room and stuff!

Programing and Games
In the picture to the left, we have the CD ROM that we had to put in the computer to download something on the computer. In the picture to the right, it shows the screen when the program was done downloading.
This is a picture of when we were playing games on the computer to see if it worked good or if anything was wrong but nothing was.

Turning on the Computer
In the picture to the right, we are plugging in the monitor, mouse, and keyboard. In the picture to the left, we are plugging in the power to the computer so it will turn on.
In the picture to the right, we are pressing the power button to turn on the computer. In the picture to the left, it shows inside the computer with the wires out of the way. As you can see, in the class before this one, we zip tied the wires out of the way so you can see inside of the computer better.
In this picture, we are putting the side of the computer on and plugging in the fan.

Wiring the computer
Putting in the CPU
In the picture to the right, we are putting in the fan which clips in. We placed this on a spot on the motherboard. In the picture to the left, we put in the CPU chip into the spot where it goes on the motherboard.
In this picture, the CPU chip and the fan are on the motherboard and the fan is wired in so it will work.

Motherboard
In the picture to the left, we are putting in a new thing in the back of the computer so all of the plug ins will fit. To do this, we just unscrewed a screw inside of the computer to get the old one out and we popped in the new one from the inside of the computer.
In the picture to the right, there is a picture of the motherboard in the box.
In the picture to the left, there is a picture of a metal thing that was inside of the computer. We took it out because we have to put the motherboard on it. We put 6 screws on it so the motherboard will stay.
In the picture to the right, we set the motherboard on top of the screws that are sitting on the metal thing.
In this video, we are putting screws in the motherboard so it will stay on the metal thing.
In the picture to the left, it shows the motherboard that has screws in it connecting to the metal thing.
In the picture to the right, we put the motherboard inside of the computer.
CD ROM and Hard Drive
In the picture to the left, we are taking off the sides of the computer by unscrewing the thumbscrews and the other screws with a screw driver.
To the right, there is a picture with both of the sides of the computer off. We took off the sides so we can put things in easier.
In the picture on the left, we are sliding the CD ROM into the highest slot of the computer to slide it in.
In the picture on the right, we are putting screws in it to attach it to the computer so it will stay.
In the picture to the left, we are putting the hard drive into the compter. We slid it in the lowest slot on the inside of the front of the computer.
In the picture to the right, we are putting srews in the hard drive to attach it to the computer so it will stay.

Getting the Computer Out of the Box
In the picture on the left, we are opening the box with a box cutter that the computer is in.
In the picture on the right, we are getting ready to take the computer out of the box. To take it out, we had one person hold on to the end of the box and another person pulled out the computer gently.
In the picture on the left, the computer is out of the box with Styrofoam on the sides. We pulled the Styrofoam off the sides of the computer and took of the plastic.
In the picture on the right, we took off the door of the computer by unscrewing these things called thumb screws and after those are off, you can lift up the door. Inside, you can see some wires that connect to things in the computer and the power supply.
We are putting things on the bottom of the computer to protect the bottom of the computer. All we had to do was push them in.
This is a video of us putting the computer back together.
